It was with heavy hearts that the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games had to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Festival and the postponement of our 75th Anniversary, BUT we are thrilled to share an extraordinary event for an extraordinary time – our first ever Wee Digital Ceilidh!

Hosting a world class Scottish Festival is what we do best.  However we had to make the very tough, heart breaking decision to cancel this year’s festival  For us this is the right decision because as much as we love the Festival, we value you – our guests, volunteers, competitors, performers, clans, sponsors, and community – more.  You are our priority and we want to keep you safe and healthy so you can enjoy ‘Scotland without the Airfare’ for years to come. 

A great deal of time, energy, and resources go into executing a world class 3 day event so as much as we would love to, we would not be able to host a knock out Festival with current restrictions. We encourage you to check out all areas of our Wee Digital Ceilidh and visit us in downtown Fergus for some Festival fun…..safely with respect to COVID-19 restrictions.

YES!  We have tartan masks for sale as well as our famous Fergus Scottish Festival water bottles.  They are $10 each and will be available in person Festival weekend in downtown Fergus at the performances or by contacting the office at

Our 2021 Festival and 75th Anniversary celebrations will take place August 13 -15, 2021.  Haste ye back.

Given the uncertainty around COVID-19, all 75th anniversary activities for 2020 have been cancelled.  The good news is we have postponed our 75th Anniversary and invite you to join us August 13 – 15, 2021 to help us celebrate 75 years.

Unfortunately not.  All  2020 campsites purchased have been refunded.  We will keep you posted on our website and social media when 2021 campsites will go on sale.
