For every Month in 2020 we will be having a special event.

Come celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games with us! Each month features a fun activity so you can enjoy a little bit of the Fergus Scottish Festival year round. Tartan Up and enjoy a free skate with hot chocolate and music on us! Pop up to Fergus and see what The Town Pants get up to for St. Pat’s! The party continues every month until Hogmanay. Read on for a complete list of our monthly activities.

Join us for the Canada Day Parade… for the Fergus Scottish Festival float.

Thursday August 6, 7pm – Downtown Fergus & Victoria Park

Kick off our 75th Anniversary with a downtown parade complete with after party.  Parade starts at Fergus Legion winding through lovely downtown Fergus ending at Victoria Park for a Hometown Ceilidh.  This free event will feature entertainment and demonstrations and a great time for all.

August 7 – 9th spend our 75th anniversary weekend with us enjoying all things Scottish.

December 31.

Hogmanay is the Scottish word for the last day of the year and a fun way to kick off the New Year ahead.  Celebrations often include street parties and fireworks.  Details to be announced as they become available.

ALL YEAR Preserving 75 years of Fergus Scottish Festival history

In honour of the 75th anniversary, the Festival is collaborating with the Wellington County Museum and Archives to preserve 75 years of Fergus Scottish Festival history.  The Festival and Museum and Festival would like to encourage anyone looking to contribute memorabilia, documents, objects, or artifacts related to the Festival to bring them to the Museum for consideration for donation to the collection.  For more information, please contact the Museum directly at 519-846-0916 ext 5221 or by email at
