Interested in learning more about Heavy Events? Want to toss a caber or stone? Then this school is for you.
The 2023 Heavy Event School will take place at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, August 10 – 11th
550 Belsyde Ave, Fergus Ontario
Thursday August 10th – Heavy Events School
| 8:30am | Registration |
| 9:00am – noon | Hands on Instruction Weight for Distance, Light Weight for Distance, Heavy and Light Hammer |
| Noon – 1pm | Lunch (several restaurants close by or bring your own) |
| 1:00pm – 4:00pm | Hands on Instruction Weight for Height, Sheaf, Caber |
Friday August 11th – Heavy Events Competition
| 8:00am | Registration & Warmup |
| 9:00am – noon | Compete Stone, Heavy Weight for Distance, Light Weight for Distance, Hammer |
| Noon – 1pm | Lunch (several restaurants close by or bring your own) |
| 1:00pm – 4:00pm | Compete Weight for Height, Sheaf, Caber |
Entry Fee for School & Competition is $150 (Includes T-shirt)

So you registered, now what?
Things to Bring/Know
You are training/competing outside rain or shine, be dressed for the weather and bring sunscreen.
Bring with you:
- Clothes you can work out in
- Running shoes or cleats if you have them
- Water & snacks
- Any special sleeves, wraps, belts that you require to train safely (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you don’t need them 😊)
- A kilt to compete in if you have one
