Interested in learning more about Heavy Events? Want to toss a caber or stone? Then this school is for you.

The 2024 Heavy Event School will take place at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, August 7 – 9th, 2024.
550 Belsyde Ave, Fergus Ontario

Wednesday August 7th – Heavy Events SCHOOL A
8:30am Registration
9:00am – noon Hands on Instruction: Stone, Heavy and Light Weight for Distance, Heavy and Light Hammer
Noon – 1pm Lunch (several restaurants close by or bring your own)
1:00pm – 4:00pm Hands on Instruction: Weight for Height, Sheaf, Caber
Thursday August 8th – Heavy Events SCHOOL B
8:30am Registration
9:00am – noon Hands on Instruction: Stone, Heavy and Light Weight for Distance, Heavy and Light Hammer
Noon – 1pm Lunch (several restaurants close by or bring your own)
1:00pm – 4:00pm Hands on Instruction: Weight for Height, Sheaf, Caber
Friday August 9th – Heavy Events Competition GROUPS A & B
8:00am - 9:00am Registration & Warmup
9:00am – noon Compete: Stone, Heavy and Light Weight for Distance, Heavy and Light Hammer
Noon – 1pm Lunch (several restaurants close by or bring your own)
1:00pm – 4:00pm Compete: Weight for Height, Sheaf, Caber

Entry Fee for School & Competition is $150 (Includes T-shirt)

To Complete Registration:

Complete and submit the registration form.

So you registered, now what?

Things to Bring/Know

You are training/competing outside rain or shine, be dressed for the weather and bring sunscreen.

Bring with you:

  • Clothes you can work out in
  • Running shoes or cleats if you have them
  • Water & snacks
  • Any special sleeves, wraps, belts that you require to train safely (if you don’t know what this means, then you don’t need them)
  • A kilt to compete in if you have one
